Making an appointment
To facilitate our clients - and to ensure your pet will never have to share the waiting room with too many other anxious and fraught little creatures - we run an appointments-only system for consultations and surgery.
We endeavour to see you on time and will rarely be running more than 10 minutes behind schedule. However there are sometimes when the unexpected will happen or when it takes us a little longer to get through a difficult case so please understand if we are running a little late - the shoe may well be on the other foot someday when we need to spend extra time with your pet!
We also offer a 'drop and shop' service if you would prefer to for example leave your pet in in the morning and pick them up at lunchtime or after work. Please ask our nurses if you need us to do this for you. There is generally no extra charge for this.
All our appointment slots are 15 minutes in duration - this we feel is the minimum required for a comprehensive examination and discussion of your pets problems.
On calling us our nurses will arrange a suitable time and will often schedule in a double appointment for certain conditions - e.g. referrals, eye examinations, puppy and kitten first visits etc.
We generally consult from 09:00-13:00 and 16:00 to 18:30 Monday-Friday and 10:00-13:00 on Saturdays. We can of course arrange an appointment outside these times if necessary - please ask.
We can also do house visits where necessary - again please ask our nurses. A supplemental fee is payable for this service and depends on the distance you are from the practice.
For emergencies we are available any time we are open: 08:30 and 19:00 Monday-Friday and 10:00-13:00 Saturday - just let us now it is an emergency and we will see you as quickly as possible.
Conversely if you have an appointment made for a routine matter please understand that we may occasionally have to see an emergency first.
If your pet needs urgent veterinary care when we are closed you should call the Pet Emergency Hospital on 1890 564 036.
